1．Human Factors Engineer
The Photosmart Division of Hewlett-Packard (www.hp.com) is the #1 worldwide supplier of devices which provide color printing, scanning, copying, camera connect, and faxing functionality all in a single product for the home and home office. The Division is starting a new permanent R&D team in Shanghai to develop Low-end All-in-One and Photosmart Printers.
Job Description
Take an active role among design teams in the area of human factors principles and appropriate ergonomic designs for the AiO product solutions for hp’s Consumer Imaging and printing products.
Work collaboratively in multiple cross-functional Customer Experience teams to design positive customer experience for products.
Work with project/product teams to implement Customer Experience strategies for products.
Provide product designers and engineers with specifications and that apply Human Factors Engineering principles to Customer Experience requirements.
Assist with the research and validation of Future Customer Experience Strategies and their integration into products.
Conduct product usability study to validate Customer Experience Designs.
Qualifications
Education:
Minimum of a Master's Degree in Cognitive or Experimental Psychology, Human Computer Interaction, Human Factors, Industrial Engineering, Computer Science, significantly related disciplines or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience and knowledge:
Experience in the Digital Imaging and Printing industry strongly preferred. Strong engineering skills required with an ability to specify and evaluate prototypes/simulations.
Must possess in-depth knowledge of product design, usability evaluation techniques, perception, cognition, task analysis, experimental design and statistics.
Experience in applying human factors engineering principles to user-centered designs within a lifecycle capable of producing a Customer Experience specification synchronized with product lifecycles.
Skills:
Must have strong written and verbal English communication skills. Must have excellent teamwork, communication, and technical problem-solving skills to contribute within multi-functional and multi-disciplined project team(s). Must be able to work with minimal supervision on multiple concurrent projects in a fluid, fast-paced environment.

2．Software / Embedded Systems Development Engineer
Job Description
Systems Software / Embedded SW Development Engineer – Shanghai LaserJet R&D Team
Position description:
As systems software and embedded software design engineers, you will be part of an exciting start up team developing, testing, and delivering products for Hewlett-Packard’s world-renowned LaserJet brand.
Software and Embedded Systems Engineers play lead roles in multi-discipline teams working on new products and solutions. You'll be part of a team that designs, implements, tests, and validates software for printing and imaging devices and the tools, I/O's, network solutions, systems, applications, and service management software applications that support these devices, ensuring that HP's end users of these devices enjoy the best possible customer experience possible. You will also be involved in the selection, configuration, and integration of software development and support tools.
Location: Shanghai, China
Specific Job Responsibilities:
These development positions will include a wide range of SW and/or embedded SW development and defect debug and resolution responsibilities.
Position responsibilities include using exceptional teamwork and coordination skills to drive the development team.
Education:
B.S. or M.S. in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related scientific fields
Required Experience Includes:
Demonstrated programming experience with C, C++.
Demonstrated experience working on one of: Windows development environments; Linux-based development applications and environments.
Demonstrated experience in using structured SW development methodologies.
Desired (any or all):
Master’s Degree in Computer Engineering / Computer Science or related engineering fields.
Personal Qualifications:
